The 2019 chassis is WFR’s first ever full CFRP-Foam Monocoque, marking the end of a 4-year design trajectory. Each section of the primary structure has been optimized for stiffness and strength. The swept rear frame accommodates an optimal rear diffuser angle whilst low sidewalls for improved line of sight entering corners, driver egress, and mass reduction. Local core pocketing is used for efficient packaging and lowered center of gravity and the accumulator is under-mounted for ergonomic removal and maximum rear frame access. This includes a fully-integrated, self-aligning CFRP mounting flange.
