2013

Summary

The 2013 competition season saw Western Formula Racing thrust itself into world class territory. Earning a 16th place finish in Michigan at a competition attended by over 100 teams from North America, South America, Europe, and Asia, we were among teams world renowned for their on track performance, engineering prowess, and all around professionalism. Furthermore, we were awarded 2nd place in The William R. Adam Engineering Excellence award for our innovative swivelling oil pick up. An 11th place finish at Formula North saw us in similar company. In each case, we were the top team in Ontario.

The 2013 competition season saw Western Formula Racing thrust itself into world class territory. In each competition, we were the top team in Ontario.

We have since installed a front and rear wing for testing purposes. What we learn using these devices will become critical information for our 2014 aerodynamic design. We have also measured the center of gravity location of our car, used tire temperature sensors to help tune our suspension, as well as a multitude of other testing and tuning activities.
